| We now have an opportunity within our Distribution and Warehousing Centres for a Warehouse Supervisor reporting to the Central Logistics Manager. The key requirement of this role is to lead the Warehouse Team to provide an outstanding parts supply, stock despatch and return receipt process within the CS and CIS Operation. Accurate stock holding and system movements for all outgoing and incoming stock will be a paramount responsibility of this role. The main areas the role would involve consist of : Maintain, report and manage all company stock through the Navision inventory system. Conduct, manage and report quarterly stock check on all Barron McCann stock. Organise and motivate warehouse team to ensure efficient and effective despatch of all requisitioned stock to service our customer requirements. Prioritise workload across the teams within the Distribution Centre to alleviate peaks in work flow:- Receipt, unpacking and recording of returned stock, packing and replenishment of stock for Forward Stock Locations and despatch of same day and overnight deliveries to engineers. Review current processes and practices to ensure best possible packaging and despatch methods are deployed. Ensure all products are identified and labelled correctly for despatch to customers. Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports on logistical statistics. Manage adequate resource across a shift rota, including weekends, bank holidays and peak trading times. Manage and co-ordinate staff holidays and absence recording within the department. Record and authorise any overtime worked. Develop staff, implement working practices/methodology and procedures to enhance the operational effectiveness of the department. Operate in accordance with company quality and health and safety procedures in all activities. Promote a professional approach at all times. The Pre-requisites: The successful candidate should have skills, ability and understanding within the following fields: Good understanding of operational priorities within the supply chain/warehouse environment. Experience within a pressurised, supply chain/warehouse environment. Complete flexibility, enthusiasm and positive commitment in their approach to work. Adaptable to varying shift patterns as dictated by business requirements or our customer’s needs. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. A true motivator and team player. Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels. Good IT literacy and MS office product set skills predominantly Power Point, Excel and Word. |
